The institute proudly announces the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) Week, scheduled from 6–10 October 2025. The CLIMS centre, this year's celebration will prominently feature two academic contests: a Poster Presentation and a Quiz Competition, both centered on the theme: "Role of Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums and Memory Institutions in Preserving Indian Knowledge (GLAM & IKS)."

Both competitions are open to all registered MLISc students of the institute.

 
1. IKS Quiz Competition

The Quiz Competition is designed to test participants' knowledge of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) and the memory institutions (GLAM) that safeguard them.

  • Competition Date & Time: 7 October 2025, starting from 11:00 AM onwards.
  • Location: CLIMS, Terminal Room (Computer Lab).
  • Participation: Individual participation is required.
  • Format Highlights: The quiz will include objective-type and short-answer questions, covering General Knowledge on IKS/GLAM, a Visual Round (identifying manuscripts and monuments), an Audio/Visual Clues Round (heritage and traditions), and Current Affairs related to IKS initiatives.

2. Poster Presentation Competition

Participants are invited to create innovative and well-researched posters highlighting the contributions of GLAM institutions in safeguarding India’s knowledge heritage, including case studies, ancient practices and modern preservation technologies.

  • Competition Date & Time: 8 October 2025, from 10:30 AM onwards.
  • Location: SDTM Library, Ground Floor.
  • Participation: Students may participate individually or in groups of up to three members.
  • Submission Deadline: The soft copy must be submitted by 9:30 AM on 8 October 2025. Hard copies of the printed or hand-made A1/A2 (Portrait) posters must be submitted at the venue by 10:00 AM on the competition day.
  • Evaluation: Posters will be judged primarily on Relevance to Theme (30%) and Content Quality (25%), with other criteria including Visual Presentation, Innovation, and Referencing.

Awards and Announcement

For both the Quiz Competition and the Poster Presentation, prizes will be awarded for First, Second and Third Place, consisting of a Certificate and an Award Trophy. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation. The Result Announcement and Prize Distribution for both events will take place on 10 October 2025.
